Environmental, economic and social responsibility.

The future of tradition is our philosophy, a methodical modus operandi that has always guided us.

As early as the 1980s, we at Salumi Vida took an interest in the environment, foresightedly anticipating the issue of corporate sustainability.

At a time when environmental issues are finally at the centre of global attention, we consider it even more important to produce cured meats in a responsible manner, ensuring a production activity that protects people’s health, respects the environment and contributes to social welfare.

How?

With a recognised in-house analysis laboratory run by a registered food technologist;

With a fair management of our natural resources, thanks to the adoption of advanced technologies such as hybrid generation systems, energy- and water-efficient machinery, and a biological wastewater treatment plant.

But there is more…

We have also recently installed a second photovoltaic system for a total of 175 kWp, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, favouring self-consumption and promoting renewable energy.

In addition to this, and always forward-looking, we promote ethical business practices and the active maintenance of dialogue with suppliers, so that they adopt sustainable procedures throughout the supply chain, from breeding to slaughter, from transport to the choice of eco-friendly packaging. We experience sustainability as a journey, not a destination. Every sustainable action, large or small, makes a difference.
