We use only the best pork legs from organic farms, carefully selected. We season them with our natural infusion made exclusively from organic spices and herbs, based on the original recipe of the Vida family in 1966, which has been refined over time. After a long massaging and maturing phase, during which the legs acquire our taste and the softness typical of High Quality Hams, they are moulded into moulds by the skilful hands of our pork butchers and undergo a slow steam cooking phase lasting over 20 hours, to maintain their fragrance and organoleptic qualities.
The external colour is typically pink, the result of slow steaming. The slice is soft and compact, able to melt in your mouth like a true High Quality Ham. The ham is sweet and delicately flavoured, with just the right balance of salt.

THE BEST WAY TO STORE THE PRODUCT
Our organic Cooked Ham is a “High Quality” ham: therefore with a low content of preservatives and antioxidants. Therefore, once opened, it should be cut and consumed as quickly as possible, taking care to store it at a temperature between 0° and 4°. It can also be vacuum-packed or placed in MAP, extending its natural shelf-life by a few days.
TASTING AND PAIRING
In order to release the typical aromas of the processing and cooking, BioVida organic cooked ham should be consumed after slicing it and letting it rest for 20 minutes at room temperature. We recommend pairing it with white wines from our Region, such as “Friulano” or sparkling “Ribolla Gialla”, which best enhance the flavours.
